"OZ – THE GREAT AND POWERFUL": A FILM REVIEW

I watched the film „Oz –The great and powerful” in March and it had both strengths and weaknesses. It is a fantasy film by the American director Sam Raimi. Among the cast are James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams. It came out in march 2013. I really liked the costumes and the 3D-effect because I thought throughout the film that I`m in another universe. The story is about a wizard in our universe who came to Oz with a balloon. He meets three witches: Evanora, Theodora and Glinda. But he doesn`t know which witch is the good one… The story is sometimes a little bit boring, but also often very funny because of a speaking monkey! The actresses playing the witches were really good, only James Franco couldn`t convince. In general it is a good film that I can recommend for people that like funny fantasy films. But I wouldn`t watch it again.
